Hi again all,

I hear the question is making money online a myth many times a day and on message boards. Making a living online is tough, but many do it. Making money online, however is not. I made a part time income last year not enough to live on but it does take work and since I do it part time...you get what you put in to it. To see if you can do it full time you would have to devote 40 hours to online money making but after you research and find your ways to make money. Most of the money I make comes from writing, however I could do more things like web site building or personal shopping or other paid to things, but my talent is writing so it is easier to make money that way.

It seem advertising (my other talent) is another good way to make money online, but dont believe anyone that tells you its not possible because it is.

So most people may not know about this one, but Odesk.com is a great place to make money. I just got my first ebook deal on Odesk. It is very similar to elance but no upfront payment. Odesk takes 10% of your earnings, but you set your price and apply to the jobs you want. So far i like - we will se how my first job with odesk goes. You can do anything from writing to research or being a virtual assistant. So it is not just for writers.

Plasma donation update

So I did not donate plasma. My iron level was too low, however it was a simple process that was more time consuming than anything. I still may try and donate plasma this week. Our center pays $100 the first week - $60 the first time and $40 the second and $60 per week after the first week. Donating plasma not only save lives but here you can make $240 per month!

Craigslist for Jobs

I got an interview, not a job, but its a start to do facebook updates for a portrait studio. Its a home job and a great opportunity for me to make extra money and I live in a smaller town and it is a great way to find some great part time work.

Blowing up with AdSense

Ok maybe not blowing up, but since I have gotten back to posting I have made $1.89 this week. May not sound like a lot but that is the most I have made in a week. And considering I am a very part time blogger its not bad for starting to ramp things up a little.

So where do I earn my adsense money?
1. Blogs - I have this one and one other
2. HubPages - three articles total

and so far thats about it.

I know Squidoo also pays via adsense so that is another place to check out.

I will be adding as many more money making ideas as I can as I know this is a tough economy.

Ok I know its not a windfall, but I only have three hubs total. So .44 cents in one day is really pretty good. I may have to go back there and write more. Squidoo is kind of a bust for me but it is another writing site you can sign up with and just start making money.

I remember reading a blog where a man made tons of money using adsense and blogs, but I think he must have posted a ton. At least with HubPages I kind of forget I accumlating money in my adsense account.

Plasma Donations

Hi there again,

So the cleaning fell through so I am donating plasma the first week of November, so I will definitely let you know if it is painful or not. First time donation pays $60 and if I donate a second time in the week I get another $40. After that it is $30 per time so I can make $60 per week.

Not too bad. I am also couponing since two of my friends from www.valleydealseekers.com were on TLC's extreme couponing and although I am not to 80% yet I am getting lots of free stuff and way less spending on groceries and toiletries. I am working on my own couponing and money saving blog here www.charsdeals.blogspot.com so I figure if I cant make extra then I need to save money too!

Another site I found is Guru.com - it pays you to bid on projects like elance.com - check it out.

So in trying to make some extra money for a vacation I am taking some additional jobs.

One job that is only 1.5 to 2 hours per night is cleaning offices. Its flexible, easy and pays above minimum wage.

Other option to bring in more money that dont require extensive work or time include:

Donating plasma
Babysitting
Holiday retail jobs
dog walking
Coupon clipping

Hi again

So we will look at other direct sales companies in the future but the key to making money is loving doing it, but the best way to start is by saving money. I have recently started couponing and it takes patience. Clipping coupons can boost your income in savings. My first trip as a couponer, I saved $10. Maybe not super awesome, but still a start. Other people i know maximize their savings for up to 86% on groceries and toiltries.

Ok I sold Tastefully Simple so I am biased, but I love their food. And that really is the biggest key to home parties and direct sales. You need to love the product so you can get excited about it and sell it!.

This company sells gourmet food products and home taste testing parties. Really who doesn't like to eat and it fairly reasonable for the items. Plus if you order enough it can be shipped right to your door and not the hostess.

There are other gourmet food sales company's out there so I think I should mention the Direct Sales Association www.dsa.org - they list reputable companies to think about joining in all venues.

Working from home in direct sales? Uggg most people say, but you can make money if you treat it as your job. I recently joined Vault Denim an at home jean party concept and I love it! No inventory, you check it out from a regional coordinator...sell jeans that day and then return what you dont sell. It is so fun! And easy, I already have a recruit in the first month and she has three!

So I will look at a few worthwhile companies if the home party system interests you. The best thing you can do is get in on the ground floor. There are only 5000 Vault Denim consultants right now so I knew it was a good time to get in. Also sell something consumable or something people will keep buying. Jeans are so common and the company is adding kids and men. Its hard to go wrong with this concept and they are designer jeans at low prices.

I also decide to see how my adsense account was doing to come back to $7.12 - way better than I thought so now I need to get moving and help everyone make more money!

Hi all,

Well done with the first week of listing and selling some old stuff I had and ta da - $80 this week. Not too bad for some quick Christmas money without having to go work a real job. Ebay has always been a fun place to sell and bid, but they got horrible quick if you are a seller. So now I have a new philosophy...sell stuff that you want to get rid of and make sure the listing fees are free. So far so good. Back for money making ideas, how about using Amazon.com to make money. Go to www.amazon.com and sign up to become an affilate. Place their links and banner ads on your blogs, hubpages and websites and when people purchase make a cut of their purchase. Many on hubpages make extra cash with this method. Well I guess it is time for a little experiment. I am going to go back to selling on ebay...well a little bit. I have a few old phones and other items so I am going to see if the buyers are still there. Christmas is always the best selling season on ebay so... here we go. I will keep you posted as to how it goes, but I believe if you start the listing at $.99 you can list five for free so it is worth trying again.

Today's money making idea of the day is selling clothing to a local second chance stores that buy those items. Go through all the old clothes you have and your kids. Sort them in pile - designer adult and designer kids. Check for local area stores that buy these clothes directly and consignement stores.

Some places that buy good used clothing

Plato's Closet - brand name teen and other designer labels.
Once upon a Child - buys childrens clothing and some toys
Clothes Mentor - designer womens clothing

and also look for local consignement stores - which take a percentage of the sale on your items.

Hey all,

Ok I know you have all heard of Craigslist.com and have heard of the scammers and things that go on, but it is really a great way to make money without paying anything! Last month I made about $200 after having a crappy rummage sale, I posted the other items that I had left on Craigslist. Some of them sold within a few hours! Here a few tips for listing your items.

Price a bit higher but not too high - people like to negotiate
Use the anonymous email option
Put your phone number only if it a high ticket item and put spaces in it so you dont get fake calls
Use pictures - craigslist is free - pictures sell your items.
Remember what you think is junk - other people treasure and it is much easier to list on craigslist than sit for hours at a rummage sale.

So making money at home does not always necessarily mean having a check come in or money deposited into your paypal account - although they are both good feelings!

The first great money making/saving idea is Ebates.com - with Ebates you earn cash back when shopping and they send you a check four times a year. This program is really great and I have earned $454 cash back with them since I joined. The more you use them the more you make and you can use Ebates for things you already shop for. They also have a great referral program and contest going on right now.

Another great way to save money is coupons.com - dont buy a paper for coupons you may or may not use. At coupons.com you can print the coupons you want to use.

Last quick money idea for the day is donating. It may not bring you cash rewards, but if you itemize deductions you can use it as a write off and feel good about giving.

Hi all,

Ok so I pretty gave up on HubPages. I created one or two Hubs and forgot about them. I was sure blogging was the way to go and I still am, but decided I would see how my blogs were fairing without many posts lately. My Google adsense account had jumped from $1 - to $6.00 in a few months. Wow I thought - how great it will be when I actually post more! Well I found out that this blog is the big money maker but my Hubs are actully second and have only been up for a few months and I have not done anything but post it.

Passive income is serving to be my money maker. I am still making $80 a month from my ehow articles and have not written a new one in four months. But now I think I need to check out HubPages again! My blogs are not pulling in the millions I thought they would but they are finally gaining and making money. It seems it just takes time and hard work and once you build a base the earnings will start picking up!

This is just a general article to give you a tip on how to make more money using social media. Social media like Facebook or Twitter are great ways to promote your writing or other money making venture.

My ehow articles average an extra $10 per month because I share them on Facebook. Be sure to share all of your writing. Who knows which of your friends may be interested in reading abou the things that you write. Or maybe they want to buy one of your ebay items. The more times you share your money making ideas and opportunites, they may share them as well. Remember You Tube videos in many cases get more viewers than televison shows. Be creative and share all or of your ventures.

Hey everyone,

I am back to post and be proactive. I have bought two domains and I am going to work on making more money online. I am now the proud owner of www.triptipz.com and www.bagsnbeauty.com - not sure but I am thinking blog and blog/shopping site and am so excited to get started.

I am still earning residual income on ehow and demand studios - which is great since I have been a bit lazy, but at least money is still coming in. I am also writing again at examiner.com which is like a mini blog so it takes so little time to make an easy $25 minimum a month.

So keep trying everyone - I will be posting more money making sites and earnings updates so we can keep making money in this tough economy.

Hey all,

I got paid yesterday from Examiner.com - yeah! I finally made roughly $30 with them and so I hit the pay mark. It took awhile although they have better incentives now for local pay (see past post). If you want to join just look for me Char King or char540 to be your referral.

Ehow has fixed their posting issue for the most part and continues to be my be passive income big earner at about $70 per month without really writing - sometime I do one article - I am currently at 102 articles there - so the hard work does pay off.

Ok many people ask about blogging for money and let me just tell you, I don't make a lot of money blogging, but it does take 6-12 months to build up followers and get your blog going. Some times to start making money with your blog:

Post often and be informative, people are looking for information
Monetize your blog using google, amazon, ebay and link affiliate programs
Be patient - it takes awhile to build a reader base
Read other people blogs and post comments or better yet ask them to link to you
Once you blog has a base of followers you may want to consider advertising.

Will post more tips as I come across them and be sure to send me a link to your blog and I will try and start a list.

So I hear that people are making great money selling homemade crafts, paintings and other items using Etsy.com - Whether it is crafts, woodworks, painting, jewelry Etsy is great for selling it. Another site I just hear of is Ruby Lane - which is another site to sell handmade items.

While crafts aren't for everyone those looking can find more information at HubPages - this one is not written by me, but does contain some good information for those looking.

Examiner update and Textbroker new way to make money

Hey all,

It is has been awhile, but I have been working on getting in shape and quitting smoking which is great, so I need to make sure my writing gets going again. So I have picked back up with Examiner.com . They have added new incentives like $1.00 per locally focused article and an extra $1.00 if you get a local sponsor - so that can add up to $10 a week maximum and $40 a month plus pay per page view.

This will be in addition to the money I already make with Demand Studios, Ebay and Ehow, which is going steady at around $400 per month.

New site to write for.

Another new site I found to write for is TextBroker.com - they pay you based on the article rating. This is another site you have to apply for but they do pay via paypal and the articles are set rates, so you know what you are getting. The downside is no passive income building, but it is still a good way to keep the bills paid.

As promised I found another site to make money - it is called BrightHub and there are articles that pay upfront ( I think it is $14 per article) plus revenue share. I have tried it out yet, but I am planning too soon. Just another way for you to make money online. Will update you soon, but I am already at $165 for this month - so I think I will hit $400 again!

Hey all,

This is more of a tip article than a place to make money. A friend of mine asked me to check out a money making program that she could buy to make money online. After some research, I realized it was online course to making money online with affiliate marketing. I told her this kind of information is available for free.

Working online is a job, and so you should not have to pay money to get a job. If in doubt, be sure to research on google, and message boards. Honest people will tell you what the programs are about and what you are paying for.

I am still looking into joining this one, but it is similar to HubPages that you get paid to write online and it is based on views. Lately, I have had a few people ask me this. They think it is a scheme or scam, but it isn't. It is not a get rich scam, you have to work at it and unless you think $400 a month (what I make so far) is rich....I am not even going to finish. Anyway I look at as a way to get my bills caught up and some money made. It is great for vacation money too.

HubPages - I have not tried them yet, but I have heard they are good for making some money and you can promote your ehow and other articles there too. It is also a way to write several articles about one topic you know about. Check it out and post comments if it works for you!

How about being a blogger for other people or companies? You can search on google or offer your writing services to other bloggers or local small businesses. While companies are realizing the value of online social marketing, many don't have the time or money to do it.

You can offer to do a facebook page and update for a reasonable amount. Or email marketing, be creative. If you worked for ten businesses at $100 a month each - that is an easy $1000 a month from home.

Just wanted to share that I had my first $400 month from writing online and selling on ebay. I was a frequent seller on ebay, so I was making much more than that but i stopped selling and got a real job, so I am proud to say most of this money came from writing. I am hoping to double this in the next few months and use it to pay off my debts and be deb gree. It can be done!

Ok so you are ready to make some money for your blog. You need ads. While affiliate marketing can be challenging if you build up a good following to your blog - the ads will eventually get clicks.

Google Adsense - you can sign up it takes up to a month to review your account so this is a little slow going but will be worth it in the end.

Make money from your Website or Blog with BidVertiser - Sign up with Bidvertiser it is similar to Adwords and you can also earn referral income.

Hey Welcome back everyone.

Today's great money making site is Ehow. Ehow.com pays you to write how to articles. They don't pay you per article but the do pay based on a secret formula of views and advertising revenue. Consistent earners at Ehow write articles and as those articles build readers, you make more mony. My first month I made $2.86 but this month I am set to make $80 - the trick is to build at least a 100 article library and they you let those articles make consistent money or you can keep writing to make more money.

Blogging to make money Part 1

Blogging to make money can be tough...ok it is tough. So far I have not monetize my four blogs yet, but it depends on who you are so people put those ads up right away. So how do you make money with your blog. A few things you will need

1. Traffic - if no one reads your blog, why even have advertising on it. This why in some cases it is better to build your up your traffic before adding the ads.

2. Advertisers - this is not to hard to get through affiliate marketing programs - which will discuss in more detail later

3. Niche - You can have a blog on being a mom - but if you are a work at home mom, or a homeschooling mom, you have a more specialized topic leading to more viewers.
